DENTAL X-RAYS

Dental X-Rays

Get the Full Picture

There are issues with your teeth and jaw that our dentists won’t be able to see during a routine visual inspection of your mouth. The only way to get an accurate, detailed look at problem areas of your teeth and jaw is through an X-ray.

The dental office of Robert R. Hawley, DDS, FACP will take X-rays of your teeth during your first visit to our office. We will then take updated X-rays during future visits. Our digital dental x-rays use a small, safe amount of radiation, 1/10th that of standard x-rays. To help shield you from excess radiation exposure, we will have you wear a lead apron as the X-rays are taken.

Detecting Dental Problems

Certain dental issues with your teeth and jaw are hidden from plain view and can only be detected by an X-ray. These issues include:

• Cysts • Tumors • Abscesses • Tooth Decay • Root and Tooth Positions

With X-rays, we can also take a look at issues deep inside your teeth and below your gum line. There are many issues we can detect through X-rays before they develop into much larger problems. Contact us today if you have additional questions about X-rays and other preventive treatments.
